Children Worship and Wonder
Children Worship and Wonder is offered
during the 10:45am Sunday Worship Service

This Sunday morning program is offered for children 4 years old   through 2nd grade.  Children begin in the sanctuary with their parents for the 10:45am Worship Service and then they are escorted after the Children's Moment to Room 8 where a storyteller presents a hands-on Bible story.   The children are invited to make an art response through clay, paints, crayons, markers, pencils, and other creative art supplies.  The children's worship service concludes with a feast (light snack), and includes time for lifting up prayer concerns, and for singing.

Children's Sunday School Classes
Our Sunday School program for children begins at 9:30 in room B with music.  Children learn to play the color handbells (each note is represented by a different color bell), and about once per month the children (in the Young Handbell Choir) present their music in the worship service.  Children also learn songs to sing.  At 9:45, children are dismissed to attend age-appropriate classes as described below.

Preschool — Room A
(2 and 3 year olds)
This class includes singing, Bible stories, puppet shows
and simple coloring projects

Pre-K and Kindergarten — Room B
(4 and 5 year olds)
The curriculum for this class is Rock Solid, Building a Heart of Faith.  Children study a Bible story and a Bible verse each week, color a picture from the story and play games to learn each lesson.  Children are engaged with a colorful storybook that shares Bible stories in a way that is easy to understand.  A take home sheet informs parents about the day's Bible story lesson.

1st and 2nd Grades — Room C
Lessons, games, crafts and Bible stories for young readers are used with the curriculum Rock Solid, Building a Heart of Faith.  The children take the lead as they engage in creative, Bible-related activites designed for small hands.

3rd, 4th and 5th Grades — Room E
Children learn about the Bible through arts and crafts, singing, skits, engaging discussions and Bible study.  Children are energized with a variety of faith-building activities using an active-learning curriculum from GROUP (the publishers of our Vacation Bible School curriculum as well).  Children from this class are also the candle lighters for the Sunday morning worship services in the sanctuary.

                                      Youth Sunday School Classes

Chi Rho — Room 5
(6th through 8th Grades)
Middle school students are engaged with timely, thought-provoking discussions, lessons, and Bible study.  Fellowship and service are integral parts of this class for young people.

Koinonia  — Room 6
(9th through 12th Grades)
In-depth discussions, Bible study, fellowship and service for high school students are all part of this class.  Youth will be empowered to find parallels between the physical and spiritual journeys of their lives.
